Storage Bin DIY: Turn Your Plastic Drawers into a Stylish Décor Piece

3 Drawer plastic carts are the perfect go-to for storage necessities, and Roses has them for just $10.99! These plastic carts are perfect for holding utensils, clothing items, office supplies, and any other storage need you may have. Also, their look fits into any décor design.


However, have you ever thought about jazzing up your drawers?


This blog post will show you a quick and fun DIY that shows how you can turn your plastic storage carts into a decorative fashion statement!


Head into your local Roses and pick up the following supplies before you begin.


You will need:

  1. Construction or self adhesive paper

  2. Strong Glue

  3. Scissors

  4. Pencil or pen

  5. Other Decorative Pieces to Make your Storage Bins Pop.

  6. Permanent Marker (if you would like to label your drawers)

  7. 3 Drawer Plastic Medium Cart

Once you have your supplies, you can take the following steps and begin to Jazz up your carts:

Step 1: Place your construction paper or adhesive paper onto the front and side of your cart drawers, and draw a line to show where to cut.

Step 2: If you would like your drawer handles to be covered as well, you can measure these out also.

Step 3: Take your paper that you've cut out, grab your strong glue, and begin to place your paper onto either the outside out inside of your cart.

Step 4: If you would like, you can take your permanent marker and write on the drawers so you can tell what drawer carries what.

Step 5: You can grab extra accessories to jazz up your cart such as a knob, or glitter strips, and turn your cart into a beautiful décor masterpiece!
